Santiago Pedroza joined OLIVARES in 2014. He was member of the trademark team headed by Antonio Belaunzarán Martínez and currently as a member of Alonso Camargo Sordo´s Trademark team.
His work focuses on the Trademark practice, consultancy, prosecution and litigation.
In connection with trademark prosecution, his work covers all related aspects thereof, ranging from the availability searches, provisional refusals and the follow-up of the whole trademark prosecution process from filing to registration.
Likewise, since the recent changes of the Mexican IP Law in force since 2016, he is also focus on the opposition procedures before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property.
As for trademark litigation, his work covers both administrative litigation derived from the conflicts arising during the trademark prosecution before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property such as non-use cancellation action and invalidation actions, as well as the litigation before our judicial authorities covering both the Federal Court of Administrative Affairs and the Federal Circuit Courts (Amparo Trials).
When I’m not being a lawyer…
My personal interests are varied, they include the practice of sports such as football and Volleyball as well as cultural and recreational activities such as attending to music concerts, to the movies, among other activities. Likewise, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and my dogs.
