Mexican Customs shall be controlled by Mexican Army

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has determined that the Ministry of Navy and the Ministry of Defense, through the National Guard, will now be in charge of Mexican Customs.

The guidelines of this new structure have not been published yet by the Federal Government, which will allow an assessment in the impact of the proceedings carried out before Mexican Customs, related to the defense of intellectual property rights in Mexico.

Our team will be working on following up on this modification to be implemented in the Customs system in Mexico, and above all, it will analyze the actions or repercussions that may be triggered in the fight against piracy.
