Manuel Mateos joined OLIVARES in 2011 as a member of the litigation team of the firm. His work is mainly focused in patent and trademark litigation, defending our client´s rights before the Mexican Trademark Office, the Federal Court for Administrative Affairs and the Federal Circuit Courts. He also provides our client’s with legal strategies for the comprehensive protection of IP rights and their conservation thereof.
Manuel also collaborates in Regulatory litigations before the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) in cases relating to marketing authorizations.
Likewise, Manuel works in coordination with our patent team during the prosecution of patent applications and provides legal opinions in this area of expertise.
When I’m not being a lawyer…
In my free time I like doing sports and reading. Likewise I enjoy spending time with friends and family.
